On Saturday 20th November 2021 some of the BEAT Solutions team met at Warsash beach for a family walk and beach clean.
Whilst enjoying some time out with the family and armed with litter picks we were able to collect 2 bags of mostly plastic rubbish. Interestingly bottle tops were among one of the most collected items of rubbish together with sweet wrappers, beer cans and bottles.
Oddly we collected a single flip flop, a few tooth brushes and even a signage board!
Pictured below is Scott Arnold (left) and Darren Pinnick (right) with children Eva, Freddie, Freya and Heidi (left to right). Both wives also attended the walk but were out of shot. Behind is the shoreline at Hamble village and pink ferry jetty.
Along the walk from Warsash car park up the Hamble river back towards Swanwick, we stopped at the "Donkey Field" where some local people look after donkeys which the children loved to feed.
