2021 Building Regulation Changes

Introduction

On the 15th December 2021 the British Government announced the new building regulations will come into effect on the 15th of June 2022. These changes introduce new measures to lower CO2 emissions and improve the energy performance of new and existing dwellings and buildings.

The changes also follow the future home standards consultation and as expected will implement tougher performance standards and a focus on stricter detailing of certain elements within the building fabric.
